Art Expo 2018

April 19-22 I exhibited my series of political caricatures at this show on a pier on the West Side. I have done this show before, but I was surprised this time by how many people were interested in portraits of their families. Great event with lots of new clients.

'Trump's Confederates'

People liked this collage at the show. It combines caricatures of 16 political figures, the images originating from their official government portraits. Individual portraits were also on display. This piece, as with the others I had at the show, was mounted by me and my team in Brooklyn (between Acrylite plexiglass and aluminum). We created an edition of 3 in the 27-1/2" x 21-3/16" size ($275) — of which one remains unsold, and an edition of 4 in the 12" x 15-3/4” size ($150) — of which two remain.

I sold out of the smaller version of this image which combines 20 caricatures of Alexander Hamilton. I photographed the reflection of the portrait engraved on the $10 bill, and from the hundreds of resulting images, found these very distinct faces. One of the edition of 3 in the larger size (25-1/4" x 30-3/8"), mounted as above, remains.
